Usercentrics MCP server¶
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT connect to external services through a shared set of tools. The Usercentrics MCP server is Usercentrics' hosted MCP server: connect your AI assistant to it, and you can look up Usercentrics product information, run a compliance scan, or book a demo — directly from a conversation, without visiting the website or logging in to a Usercentrics account.
You don't need any technical background to use it — if you already use Claude or ChatGPT, you can connect it in a few clicks and start asking.
This is unrelated to Usercentrics' Consent Management Platform (CMP) products — despite the similar abbreviation, MCP and CMP are different things.
What you can do with the Usercentrics MCP server¶
The Usercentrics MCP server exposes marketing and lead-generation tools from the Usercentrics website. Every tool is available to any AI assistant user — you don't need a Usercentrics account to use them.
- Look up product information: ask about Usercentrics pricing, plans, and features.
- Run a compliance scan: scan a domain for cookies, trackers, and compliance issues against a regulation such as GDPR.
- Book a demo or reach sales: schedule a call with the Usercentrics team.
See Tools for the full list of tools behind these actions.
Prerequisites¶
To set up and use the tools, you need the following:
- A supported AI assistant: Claude (Claude.ai or the Claude app), ChatGPT, or any other AI platform you might use.
- To book a demo or reach sales, use a corporate email address. The booking tools don't route personal email addresses (for example, Gmail or Outlook.com addresses) to the sales team.
Connect your AI assistant¶
Use the following URL to connect: https://usercentrics.com/mcp.
Tools¶
The following is a list of tools available. However, you can also ask your AI assistant what you want to do, in plain language.
| Tool | Type | What it does | Example prompt |
|---|---|---|---|
read_page | Read-only | Reads the content of a specific page, such as pricing details. | "Tell me about Usercentrics' Free plan." |
start_compliance_scan | Read-only | Starts a compliance scan of a domain for a given regulation. | "Scan example.com for GDPR compliance issues." |
start_booking_call | Read-only | Starts scheduling a demo or sales call for your company. Booking a demo or contacting sales requires a corporate email address. Personal email addresses (for example, Gmail or Outlook.com addresses) aren't routed to the sales team. | "Book a demo with Usercentrics." |
How your data is used¶
Starting a compliance scan or a demo booking asks for information such as your domain, name, email address, and applicable regulation, plus your consent for Usercentrics to use that information — the same consent required on the website. If you agree, that information is used to contact you based on your request. For more on how Usercentrics handles this information, see the Usercentrics privacy policy.
Booking a demo or contacting sales requires a corporate email address. Personal email addresses (for example, Gmail or Outlook.com addresses) aren't routed to the sales team.
Use cases¶
This section gives you an overview of what you can achieve with the tools.
Check pricing without leaving your AI assistant¶
Prompt: "What does Usercentrics cost for a small business?" The assistant looks up the relevant pricing page and returns the plans and pricing that apply.
Scan a website for compliance issues¶
Prompt: "Scan example.com for GDPR compliance issues." The assistant starts a compliance scan, then reports its status. Because the scan runs asynchronously, you can ask about its status later in the same session instead of waiting for it to finish.
Book a demo¶
Prompt: "Book a demo with Usercentrics for example.com." The assistant asks for your company domain and a corporate email address, offers available times, and confirms the booking with a calendar invite.

Frequently asked questions¶
Is the MCP server the same as a "connector" or a "plugin"?¶
Yes. The Usercentrics MCP server is the single underlying service. Claude calls the way it connects to it a connector. ChatGPT calls it a plugin. Both use the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard.
Do I need a Usercentrics account?¶
No. The current tools are marketing and lead-generation tools available to all users, not just Usercentrics customers.
What data can the MCP server access?¶
Only what you provide when you use a tool — for example, a domain, name, email address, and consent for a scan or booking. The tools don't access your Usercentrics account data, since no account or login is involved.
