Access Management¶
Access permissions¶
Usercentrics Preference Manager supports access restrictions on the Configuration level. This means that any customer using Usercentrics Preference Manager can grant access to specific Configurations, including all widgets under those Configurations and the data captured by those widgets, to any other Preference Manager Admin Interface user.
However, it's important to note that even though a user is granted access to a Configuration, the owner of the Configuration will remain unchanged.
Customers have the flexibility to provide access to their Configurations to other users they choose. This enables collaboration and sharing of data within the Usercentrics Preference Manager system.
Types of access¶
-
Full access to Configuration:
-
Users with full access to a Configuration will have comprehensive control over it:
-
update the Configuration's settings
-
create and delete widgets
-
access and delete preference data through the user interface (UI) or Public API
-
-
-
Owner change:
-
Only the Usercentrics team has the authority to change the Owner of a Configuration.
-
Customers are not able to change the Owner themselves, ensuring the integrity and security of Configuration ownership.
-
Managing access¶
To manage access to a specific Configuration, follow these steps:
-
Open the Usercentrics Preference Manager interface and navigate to the desired Configuration.
-
Click on the Edit Permissions menu for that Configuration.
-
In the Edit Permissions menu, you can set or revoke access to the Configuration for specific users.
-
Save the changes once you've made the necessary adjustments to access rights.
