Create a Server Container in GTM
In this step, we will configure Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage your Usercentrics Server-Side Tagging container.¶
In GTM, a Web Container is different than a Server Container
For marketers that are familiar with GTM, you are probably using a Web Container to manage tags (scripts) deployed to the browser. In this step, we will instead be creating a Server Container in GTM (sGTM), which is where server-side tags will be run.
In this step you will:
- New GTM Users, Create a GTM account and Server Container
- Existing GTM Users, create a Server Container
- Obtain your Container Config
- Import a "client template" into your GTM Server Container
- Create a "client" based off your imported "client template"
- Publish your results
Go to Google Tag Manager.
For existing Google Tag Manager accounts
For existing Google Tag Manager accounts skip to 2. Existing GTM Users, create a Server Container.
