Overview: Usercentrics Web CMP Versions¶

Why are there different Web CMP versions? Depending on when and where you created your account, you may be using one of the earlier standalone CMP versions or the new Web CMP (latest version)—a solution released in January 2025.

Use the guide below to choose the correct version and access the right documentation.

Choose your Web CMP version to get started¶

Web CMP (latest version)

Go here if you created your Usercentrics account AFTER January 2025. You can identify this version if you open a configuration, and navigate to Implementation. In the latest version, you will see Manual Blocking and Auto Blocking on the screen:

Usercentrics CMP (earlier version)

Go here if you created your Usercentrics account BEFORE January 2025. You can easily identify your version by checking the script tag options on the Implementation page in the UI (see screenshot below). In the earlier version of the Usercentrics CMP, two different script tags are displayed. From these two, the V3 Script Tag is the performance-optimized version designed to enhance your Core Web Vitals.
