What is the difference between Data Controller and Data Processor?

In a nutshell, the controller determines why and how the data processing should be carried out, while the processor is the one who does the actual processing on behalf of the controller. For example, if Usercentrics sells widgets to consumers and uses Google Analytics to track user data. In this case Usercentrics is the data controller and Google Analytics the data processor.
