# Usercentrics CMPs Maintain Gold Status as a Google CMP Partner for 2026

Usercentrics CMPs maintain Gold Tier CMP Partner status for 2026. As Google Tag Gateway (GTG) adoption grows, Usercentrics provides advanced capabilities to support customers using GTG, including proactive scanning for late consent signals, clear documentation on tag enrollment, and consent handling designed to help maintain measurement continuity. Customers using server-side tracking or GTG can review their current setup against these capabilities today.

Marketing teams need reliable visibility into how their [consent management platform (CMP](https://usercentrics.com/knowledge-hub/cmp-definition/)) handles visitor consent. That need is growing as Google's tagging infrastructure evolves. Usercentrics CMPs have again met Google's requirements for its [CMP Partner Program](https://cmppartnerprogram.withgoogle.com/), maintaining Gold Tier status for 2026. This year's focus is on Google Tag Gateway (GTG) and how Usercentrics supports customers with clear, reliable consent handling for tags that use GTG.

Both Usercentrics and Cookiebot CMP were among the first CMPs Google accepted into Google's CMP Partner Program when it launched in May 2023. Since achieving Gold status, we have consistently met new annual requirements to maintain our standing, including last year's recognition for app readiness. That App-ready designation confirmed our CMPs met Google's requirements for consent handling within mobile app environments, alongside the web-based Gold Tier criteria.

This Gold status reflects straightforward setup with [Google Consent Mode V2](https://usercentrics.com/regulations/usercentrics-cmp-and-google-consent-mode-v2/) and strong customer support.

After a visitor’s consent choices are captured, Consent Mode signals those choices to Google services like Google Ads and Google Analytics.

As Google Tag Gateway adoption grows, Usercentrics has strengthened how our CMPs detect and document consent handling for tags served through GTG. One-click content delivery network (CDN) injection through GTG can make it harder for customers to control tag load order which in turn can affect can affect when and how consent signals are applied.

> "Tags get served in more ways than ever, client-side, server-side, through CDNs and gateways. Maintaining the Google CMP Partner Gold Tier status this year means customers can continue to rely on us to keep consent signals accurate and verifiable across all of them, without ever having to wonder whether their setup is compliant."

## How Usercentrics Supports Google Tag Gateway (GTG)

To support customers using Google Tag Gateway, Usercentrics provides advanced capabilities including proactive scanning for late consent signals, clear setup documentation, and robust consent handling to help maintain measurement continuity.

- Proactive scanning and debug mode for late consent signals
- Clear documentation on Google Tag Gateway and tag enrollment
- Consent handling that helps maintain measurement continuity

### Proactive Scanning and Debug Mode for Late Consent Signals

Usercentrics now proactively scan for consent signals flagged as late. If a signal is flagged, our platform directs customers to documentation to help them check whether the affected tag has adopted GTG. Where GTG adoption is confirmed, we point customers to our GTG documentation for next steps.

### Documentation on Google Tag Gateway and How to Verify Tag Enrollment

Our documentation now explains what GTG is and how it affects consent, including how one-click CDN injection can affect a customer's control over tag load order. It links to Google's own GTG documentation and explains how customers can verify whether a given tag is enrolled in GTG.

Where a late consent signal is detected and GTG enrollment is confirmed, our documentation recommends adopting advanced consent mode (U and C) with Data Transmission Controls and Global Consent Defaults or moving tags into a Google Tag Manager container customers control.

Alternatively, customers can move tags into a Google Tag Manager container they control. Advanced consent mode is compatible with manually configured GTG.

### Consent Handling Built for Measurement Continuity

Our documentation guides customers to set Data Transmission Controls or Global Consent Defaults, Usercentrics CMPs are built to grant consent by default outside regions where it's required to appear, such as the EEA. This helps businesses maintain measurement continuity across a range of technical conditions.

## What This Means for Customers

Customers using Usercentrics CMPs with server-side tagging or Google Tag Gateway can review their current setup against these best practices today. Our Google Consent Mode and Server-Side Tracking solution resources walk through how advanced consent mode and manually configured GTG work together.
