Frequently asked questions
What is a CMP configuration?
A configuration is a single Consent Management Platform (CMP) setup. If you manage multiple sites with different data-processing services, you can use one configuration per domain. You can also create separate configurations for different legal frameworks (e.g., GDPR, TCF, CCPA).
What is the Settings ID and where can I find it?
The Settings ID is the unique identifier for your Consent Management Platform (CMP) configuration. Include it in the Usercentrics script on your website so our system can load the exact appearance and behavior defined for your CMP. You can find the Settings ID by opening the configuration in the Usercentrics Admin Interface and navigating to the Configuration section; it appears in the header breadcrumbs.
How is Server-Side Tracking different from client-side tagging?
Server-Side Tracking (SST) runs on a server you control rather than in the user's browser. This way, SST allows you to filter, transform, and minimize data before it's sent to third-party tools. Learn more about SST.
