The company
All Around is an international digital marketing agency specializing in growth, data analytics, and technical implementation. Consent management sits at the core of their data practice. One of their clients, Clece, provides essential cleaning and facility management services to public and private clients across Spain and Portugal, with more than 81,000 employees.
Multiple subsidiaries each run their own digital properties, and Clece’s web presence had grown in ways that made their privacy compliance maintainence more complex. All Around’s job was to build a framework that would scale.
Challenge
Clece was an early adopter of cookie consent management. By 2018, the company had consent infrastructure in place across 34 active domains. But those domains were managed by a mix of internal departments and external suppliers, each maintaining their own configurations independently.
As the digital estate expanded, coordinating consent banner language across 7 markets, maintaining consistent prior consent implementation, and tracking which configurations were running on which domains became increasingly difficult to manage at the individual-domain level.
When Google launched Consent Mode v1 and later v2, each adoption cycle required coordination across teams and suppliers who had been operating with different processes.
Clece recognized that keeping pace with evolving platform and regulatory requirements across a growing number of domains called for a centralized governance strategy rather than continued domain-by-domain management. Since the collaboration began, All Around has built and maintained a living catalogue of more than 1,000 cookies identified and classified across Clece’s digital estate. They continuously audit more than 80 technology suppliers and have developed proprietary tooling that provides real-time visibility into the privacy compliance status of every domain, catching deviations before they compound.
Results
Now, Cookiebot CMP runs across more than 55 domains owned by Clece, consistently configured, monitored, and compliant. Google Consent Mode v2 has been adopted uniformly across the domains. What started as consent infrastructure distributed across 34 independently managed domains operates today as a single governed system.
